Club Valentine took over Brooklyn Steel on Thursday night to set the stage for the main performance, Slayyyter. Between the old Hollywood music filling the room, the colorful mood lighting, fuzzy white carpet covering the stage, palm tree planters and the martini sitting atop the DJ booth – it felt like we were stepping into the world of Slayyyter’s latest album, Starfucker

Kicking off the evening, Miss Madeline took the stage to perform her 30-minute set, where she made sure the crowd was dancing and getting amped up for the upcoming acts. Next up was BAYLI, who gave the crowd a smooth and slower vibe with her set list, singing hits like “sushi for breakfast” and “demon time.”

Slayyyter started with one of her latest hits, “Out of Time” – a song she admitted on Twitter/X days later is one of her favorites to perform live. Slayyyter’s relatability is just a piece of what makes her a great artist. She kicked off her heels and sunglasses shortly after her first song so she could dance across the stage, head banging and screaming at the crowd as the crowd screamed the lyrics of her next song, “My Body” back at her.

She performed her entire Starfucker album in her 20-song set list, as well as old hits like “Clouds,” “Daddy AF,” and “Mine.” Her time on stage can be summed up in three words: energetic, sensual, and contagious.

I’m certain the world will be seeing more of Slayyyter moving forward, and she’s an artist you definitely won’t want to miss as she passes through your city on her first North American tour.
