PREMIERE: Broken Field Runner show their west coast blues with “Palm Trees Wave”

0

Broken Field Runner have released their follow-up single from “Heavy Hanging Fruit” after a few years keeping their agenda under wraps. Their new track “Palm Trees Wave” via Jetsam-Flotsam Records holds booming instrumentation as the progression builds while keeping the texture rough and the vocals dynamic. A rough-around-the-edges indie track about the hustle and bustle of living in Los Angeles, Broken Field Runner have kept their melodies heavy with passionate content and an existential message.

“‘Palm Trees Wave’ is about moving to [Los Angeles] completely obsessed with branding, projection, and posturing and feeling completely lost and alone,” singer Tony Bucci said. “It’s about not feeling secure in who you are and trying on new identities that you know won’t fit until you feel completely foolish in them. Ultimately, it’s about working through who you are by mapping your roots and learning to love yourself, unconditionally.”

The band will be going on tour next month as well. Check out the dates below.
