PREMIERE: Salt Creek Release New Song, Video “Rulo”

Hailing from Nebraska, Salt Creek are self-described as pop punk with “with a more mainstream Coldplay-esque hook.” For fans of Turnover, Citizen and Balance and Composure, Salt Creek have been making moves in the scene since 2016. Mixed by Mat Kerekes of Citizen and mastered by Doug Van Sloan, their first EP Where Strangers Go is a “cohesive piece that honestly and unapologetically showcases the band’s melancholy, but hopeful, and endlessly resilient laments. ” The band said the making of “Rulo” has a lot to do with a tiny town in Nebraska of the same name with a population of about 15o.

“Rulo is about the stages of growing up and dealing with relationships while also  struggling to avoid becoming stuck in a certain state of mind. While shooting the video we wanted our surroundings to display the decay of nature while also capturing the beauty of the fall season  and the state we live in.”
