The Greeting Committee are getting personal on their new single “Float Away.” This week, the band unveiled the new track along with a riveting animated video. “Float Away” appears on their forthcoming studio album Dandelion which arrives on September 24. On the track, frontwoman Addie Sartino details her inner struggles and turmoil.
“There’s a line in the chorus that says, ‘Stale rye, once an apple’s eye,’ which is a way of saying, ‘I used to have so much potential, and now I’m sitting here frozen, and I don’t know what to do with myself.’”
“Float Away” follows up The Greeting Committee‘s recent single “Can I Leave Me Too?” Pre-orders for Dandelion are available here.
