Bumbershoot 2019 returns to Seattle, WA this Labor Day Weekend (8/30/2019 – 9/1/2019)! Since Sasquatch Festival did not return in 2019, Bumbershoot will be the Seattle area’s biggest music and arts festival this year. Check out some of the acts we’re excited about this year!

Tyler, The Creator

With Tyler, The Creator’s latest album Igor, he became the first solo rapper to achieve a #1 album without any co-production or outside producer credits. Bumbershoot will be Tyler’s first stop on his national album tour. He promises to be a multi-talented headliner not to be missed at this fest.

Lizzo

Having just headlined and sold out the Saturday tickets for Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party, Lizzo is a force to be reckoned with, appearing in the PNW again for Bumbershoot later this summer. Unapologetically herself, Lizzo will surely serve a mind-blowingly energetic performance, replete with bright costumes, punchy vocals, and her signature flute solos. Lizzo has become a cultural icon, and for good reason, too.

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen has graduated from her girl-next-door image to her status as a blond, sparkly pop queen. She will arrive at Bumbershoot fresh off her tour for her latest album, Dedicated. Catch her set for a bright, upbeat performance filled with catchy, synthy hooks.

Clairo

If you’re like us, you’ve been jamming Clairo’s Bags on repeat since it came out this May. We love her forlorn dreampop sound and can’t wait to see her set.
Ramy Youssef
Ramy Youssef is one of several comedians who will be performing at Bumbershoot alongside all the great musical acts. He made his standup debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and produced the Hulu series ‘RAMY’ which he created and stars in. We’re excited to see the multitalented comedians who diversify the festival’s entertainment.

Design in Public

Design in Public is a local platform that promotes public dialogue and community engagement about the role and impact of design in urban life. Using human-centered design, they collaborate with the local community to create solutions to social problems. We can’t wait to see how they decide to integrate their mission with the Bumbershoot space!
