Camila Cabello brought her sold out Never Be The Same tour to Seattle last week, a performance that proved why Camila is one of the most buzzed about pop performers in the industry today.
With a production and overall live performance on scale with that of arena tours, the sold out theatre was treated to a night of entertainment they may never get to see again as the 21-year-old performer continues to grow in popularity around the world.
Accompanied by beautiful visuals that filled the screen behind her, Camila opened up the night with her smash hit “Never Be The Same,” her angelic vocals sounding as good live as they do on her recorded music.
“She Loves Control,” was a moment in the night that not only showed off Camila’s singing abilities, but also who she is as an entertainer. Joined on stage by a group of wickedly talented back up dancers, the upbeat track offered memorable dance sequences that kept the venue’s energy alive while also adding a new dimension of talent to the pop sensation.
Playing songs off of her debut album, Camila, like “Inside Out,” “All These Years,” and “Something’s Gotta Give,” Camila also treated fans to a number of covers including Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” a moment in the set that catered to those of all ages that came out to see her.
Camila even added two brand new tracks to her set list, offering an exclusive sneak peek of what’s to come for those who were lucky enough to score tickets to this sold out tour. “Sangria Wine” and “Scar Tissue,” while stylistically very similar to the sound and style found on Camila, left die hard fans in hysterics throughout the venue.
“Consequences,” a ballad off of Camila, offered a raw and powerful moment within a set full of upbeat pop tracks. With just a piano accompanying her, Camila’s vocals rang throughout the entire venue, showcasing not only her vocal ability, but also the vulnerability and emotion laced within the track, leaving many fans wiping tears and offering smiles and claps of support to the singer.
Closing out the night with “Havana,” a song that has no sign of leaving the top of radio charts any time soon, there was not a still body in the room, everyone from the barricade to the back of the balcony singing and dancing along with the singer that seems to turn everything she touches into gold.
With a wildly successful debut solo album and two tracks at the top of the charts right now, if you are able to catch this tour in the next coming months, appreciate it for all it’s worth. The exclusivity and size of this tour offers an emotionally raw performance that shows off both Camila’s incredible talent and close connection with her fans that have supported her since her departure from Fifth Harmony in December of 2016.
Whether you know her from her time in Fifth Harmony or have had “Havana” stuck in your head every day since its release, there is a reason why she has become one of the most talked about artists in the industry today. Between her captivating live performance that has the power to catch the attention of even the biggest of skeptics and her vocal ability that is one of the strongest in the industry today, Camila Cabello is far more than just a one-hit wonder pop star.
