The former frontman of Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland, has been found dead on tour with his band The Wildabouts. He was only 48 years old and his manager and wife have confirmed his death. A post on his Instagram was what alerted the world to this unfortunate tragedy, the post said:
“Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.”
Details will be released on Friday regarding the singers death and our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Scott.
