Rock N Roll warriors, Not In The Face, bring the party everywhere they go. The four-piece hailing from Austin, TX released their newest record this past February, and are out to prove to everyone that Rock’s not dead.

Members Jonathan Terrell – Singer // Guitarist Wes Cargal – Drummer Michael Anthony Gibson – Lead Guitarist Ross Dubois – Bassist // Vocalist How did you form? Billions of years ago… many years ago.. in 2005, Wes (the drummer) and I met in a piano class at Kilgore JR College. We were both in bands in East TX that played together sometimes. We separately moved to Austin, TX to pursue music and kept in touch. I (JT) was playing country music as a solo artist and Wes was in a metal band called White Rhino. All the members of both bands kind of phased in and out of each other. So I had been in about 3-4 with him and our guitar player, Gibson. We formed the band after obsessing over the Sonics, Chuck Berry and Roy Orbison. We wanted to do something unplanned and not serious at all. We booked a show to play oldies covers and people started moving. We picked a name that made people laugh. It’s just for fun, right? That was the whole idea behind the band, getting folks to move around and have some fun. Which can be challenging since the new thing is to fold your arms, stare at your phone and clap with your eyelashes. Ross, the Bass player came on last year while we were recording in Vancouver. We didn’t hold auditions, he was just in. He learned all the material while we were up there. We flew home, had 2 rehearsals and went on tour for a month. He used to be in a band called Electric Touch. What has been the highlight of your career? Opening for ZZ TOP. Best day ever! It was Gibsons 1st show with us and all of our families flew in to go. A whole row of Moms. It was too rad. Why should people listen to you? What makes you different? I don’t know. Substance? Storytelling? We FUCKING LOVE ROCK N ROLL!! We’re disciples of rock n roll. We’re not bound to genres, shticks or trends. Our love for all forms of rock n roll is pure and true and we are dedicated to uplifting the sounds of our past to their highest potential.
