Brooklyn is quickly becoming a hot spot for emerging artists in the United States. Not that it hasn’t been for a while, but lately, the talent has been superb. We’d like to add a band to that list; one you’ve probably never heard of, but should have a long time ago. It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to Rocket & The Ghost. We do our best to unveil as much variety of talent as we can, which is why it was so awesome discovering these folks. They have a blend that’s quite unusual, but, it suites them well. They’ve got some good old Americana in them with a nice blend of Indie rock. The instrumentals are super fun and the harmonies will have you singing right along. Both sets of vocals are constructed so well individually, picking which one to sing along with will leave you tearing your hair out. We could go on forever about things we love from this band but we want to do you the favor and let you check them out. So, stop reading! Go check out Rocket & The Ghost!

How did you form?
I played in an awesome band called The London Souls for a good while. At some point I decided that I needed to move on to something entirely different. This group and it’s music was formed as a collaborative effort between me (Kiyoshi) and a group of friends including Lily of Lily & the Parlour Tricks. Since then we’ve just kept going.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Recording our first ever EP at Excello was a pretty good highlight. Each studio experience is unique and this one was exceptional for us.
Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
We incorporate old and new tricks throughout everything we do. We’re using new tools with an old mentality. That and we’re really loud. We can also sing very well.
