Free Throw have dropped a Jez Pennington animated video for their new single “Ocular Pat Down.” The track appears on their forthcoming Will Yip-produced album Piecing It Together which arrives June 25th via Triple Crown Records.

For the new video, Free Throw decided to pay homage to music venues that have kept their doors closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic this past year. The visual features some iconic venues including Nashville’s Exit/In, Chicago’s Subterranean and Atlanta’s The Masquerade among others. On the new video, drummer Kevin Garcia shares.

“’Ocular Pat Down’ is a song about people who can’t seem to put others before themselves, but will always be the first to get on a fake pedestal. Throughout the last year, we saw so many venues, bars, etc that have felt like second homes to us on the road and at home, suffer immensely because of the pandemic. First to close, last to open, last to get the support. We wanted to highlight some of these places in the ‘Ocular Pat Down’ video and bring some attention to a few killer venues that are still very much hurting or have had to close their doors for good.”

Pre-orders for Piecing It Together are available here.
