Lizzo concluded the North American leg of the Cuz I Love You, Too Bitch tour in San Francisco on Monday, October 28th. It was her second sold-out show in the city and was added due to popular demand. She said that, “San Francisco always turns the fuck up” and that touring to the city was well worth the wait.

She kicked things off the night with “Heaven Help Me,” a song from her new album, Cuz I Love You, which was released earlier this year. A lot of concertgoers showed up in amazing costumes as it was close to Halloween. Her female backup dancers that helped bring the show to life represented all shapes and sizes. Lizzo wanted to make sure she closed the tour in style so she brought out all the stops with choreography, stage design, and a great light show.

Lizzo was emotional a couple of times during the show because she could tell the energy in the building was exceptional, and she said performing is self-care for her. She also wanted to share her love with the crowd because of all the wildfires going on in California.

Before she performed “Jerome,” Lizzo talked about how, with a lot of her exes, she thought she was the problem in the relationship when it reality it was them. She then told the crowd that in 2020, there would be no “fuck boys,” “fuck girls,” or “fuck thems.” Since “Jerome” is a slower song, she asked everyone to turn on the lights on their phones to represent the love you have for yourself.

During her song “Like a Girl,” she said that she could see everyone in the crowd from all different backgrounds singing and shared that is why she writes songs. Along with great dancing, Lizzo sang effortlessly and even hit a whistle note during “Lingerie.”

To end the night, she performed her smash hit “Truth Hurts,” and the crowd went crazy! Fortunately, the night wasn’t over as she came back out for an encore of “Heaven Help Me” and “Juice,” which was the first single from Cuz I Love You and is continually played on the radio.

Throughout the night, Lizzo was empowering the crowd to be themselves. You could undoubtedly feel all of the love and appreciation within the building.
