Hailing from the state of Oregon, indie pop outfit Flor brought their well-crafted and overly catchy tunes to Dingwalls in the heart of London’s Camden Town. Playing a variety of songs that spanned their entire career as a band, material from nearly all of Flor’s releases were included in their setlist, a factor that pleased everyone in the crowd that night.

“Slow Motion,” a single that was released earlier this year, is a tune that warmed the crowd up as some drank from the pints in their hands and others attempted to get as close to the stage as possible. Led by vocalist and guitarist Zach Grace who sounds as good live as he does on the band’s recorded work, the upbeat tune was a great introduction for the London crowd who were experiencing Flor’s new music live for the first time.

Released just a day prior to their London show, “Dancing Around” was a highlight of the night. As one of the first times the band has played the song live, it was inevitably clear by the smiles on their faces that they were as happy to be playing the new song as those in the crowd were to be hearing it. Many of the diehard Flor fans in the audience had learned the lyrics to the song in less than a day much to the band’s shock, their participation during the performance helping to amp up the energy within the crowd as well as onstage.

Their performance of “Heart,” brought a particularly memorable moment of the night. Passed out by fans prior to the set, those in the audience held up paper hearts high into the air for the duration of the song that was released on 2018’s Come Out. You’re Hiding. The action greatly showcased the passionate and dedicated fanbase Flor has managed to build around the world over the years.

Presenting to the London crowd some of their favorite tracks and some brand new material, Flor’s performance definitely pleased all of the fans who packed London’s Dingwalls earlier this month, everyone walking away satisfied and thrilled to have finally been able to hear their Flor favorite songs, both new and old, live. Shortly following the show, the members of the band even came out to sign as many things and take as many pictures with fans as possible, an action that showed the humble and appreciative spirit that surrounds Flor and the fanbase they have gained, even so far away from home.
