On Friday, May 10, 2019, Bea Miller played her sold out show at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX. The tour, called “Nice to Meet You,” is a long time coming for many fans. Although Bea Miller has been in the industry since she came in 9th during the second season of The X Factor in 2012, this is her first headlining tour.

Miller started the show out with her upbeat hit “Song Like You.” Out of all of her tracks, she couldn’t have picked a better song to start the show out with. You could feel the energy from the fans the moment the first note sounded. When she started playing “Motherlove,” you could feel the crowd of fans become even more electric and sing along even louder.

Miller’s entire set is filled with uplifting songs that she had personally written with her fans in mind. During the set, she talked to the crowd about how she writes the majority about her life, but that she makes her songs open ended enough so that her fans are able to connect more to the song.

During the acoustic part of her set, Miller shed a few tears during her song “Force of Nature.” As the last note finished, she jokingly talked about how she hadn’t cried like that in a long time and then gave an extra tissue she had to one of the fans in the crowd.

To bring the mood back up, Miller talked about how she always wanted to play a certain song on tour and to the joy of the crowd, she performed “Burnin’ Up” by the Jonas Brothers. She even brought her mic to a fan in the crowd who impressed the entire room with her rendition of Big Rob’s rap.

The ending of her set came with her song with NOTD, “I Wanna Know.” And although she said during a short break that it was her last song, she did come out for an encore performance of her first single on her upcoming third album, “It’s Not U, It’s Me.”
