The Faim Seal Their Arrival with Smoldering “Summer is a Curse” Video

The Faim are quickly closing the gap between their namesake and its homophone: for their latest banger, “Summer is a Curse,” the Aussie pop-rock quartet joined forces with Sitcom Soldiers to set a rebellious romance narrative in the Welsh countryside. The plot is just as gripping as the beat.

The track, co-written with 5 Seconds of Summer’s Ashton Irwin, is representative of the band’s tumultuous journey thus far.

“Being placed out of Australia and in L.A. for the first time as a band, we got thrown into this whole new world of exciting experiences and pressures,” said frontman Josh Raven. “As frightening as it was, and no matter our feelings at home, it became this tunnel vision of realizing that we had this chance to make our dreams a reality. Our music video reflecting that exact same feeling of freedom was so important for us.”

In August, The Faim will join Waterparks as support for Sum 41 in Europe and perform at the Reading & Leeds Festivals in the U.K.
