Northwest Ohio’s very own The Casket Company have been building up their EP Whatever for some time. Singer Alex Baird said “these four songs are some of the deepest and most personal we’ve ever written.” Full of 90’s garage rock influence with crossover indie rock and pop punk chops, the band “really found [their]sound” with Whatever, self-released today.

The band have also released their music video “It Fucks Me Up” today along with their EP. It’s a total jam full of catchy guitar breaks and crooning vocal layers. Check it out above and don’t skip on the EP below with a statement from Baird on the recording process.

“The majority of the EP is written about being really worn out emotionally and physically,” Baird said. “It starts of upbeat with Brooklyn but pretty much runs the gamut of stress and helplessness until the last track Whatever, which is about falling into emotional nihilism essentially. We kind of took a different direction with these songs and we have really found our sound with this EP.”
