In Pale Waves’ latest visualizer released yesterday, frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie transforms into, as one YouTube commenter put it, “Edward Scissorhands meets NSYNC ‘No Strings Attached.'” The video presents the peak of the quartet’s paradox: Baron-Gracie and co., donning all-black attire and stoic expressions, are the faces of danceable, pining pop.
