The 1975 have released a sentimental rendition of Sade’s “By Your Side,” from which proceeds will benefit War Child U.K.’s efforts to protect and support children living in war-torn countries around the world. It’s safe to say the English four-piece are intentional with extending their music beyond itself in its own right–at last night’s BRIT Awards, which deemed The 1975 Best British Group, they performed “The Sound” with negative criticisms about themselves projected on the stage.
