Melodic hardcore five-piece Ghost Key have signed to InVogue Records and will release their forthcoming debut full-length LP, “If I Don’t Make It,” Feb. 17. Since their formation in 2011, the band from Peoria, IL have released three EPs and one split EP; however until recently, vocalist Austin O’Brien questioned if a life on the road was one he wanted to pursue:
Often times trying to balance life on the road and life at home can feel like a death sentence. Just before recording our record last year I was struggling internally trying to decide if this was the life I wanted to lead. One thing I reminded myself of the whole time though was that I believe I have something to say and that’s more important to me than anything. Maybe one day I will give up, but I’ve still got some things I want to say.
