Avril Lavigne has announced work on a forthcoming album to be released in 2017. In a note to fans posted to her social media accounts, Lavigne acknowledged that, while her battle with Lyme disease was the reason for her break from music, it has also been a source of inspiration for new music. The sixth full-length effort will mark the Canadian singer-songerwriter’s first album since 2013’s self-titled release.
