The Strumbellas

This band from Canada took over in the States with their single, “Spirits,” and they don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. They’ve won a JUNO award, and five others, for their album We Still Move On Dance Floors, and it’s easy to see why they’re being awarded after you see them live. This six-piece band works in harmony in the studio and on stage. They have an energetic and emotion packed live set that is something you shouldn’t miss.

The Struts

No matter what size stage this band is on they perform like they’re performing for a sold out arena. Even if I don’t know the words to a song they’re playing, I’m dancing like it’s the best song in the world because The Struts create a moment where it truly is. The last two times they were in Tennessee they’ve played completely sold out shows so I’m excited to see what they’ll do at a festival. The Struts are what anyone craving a taste of glam-rock is looking for. They’re what everyone is looking for, people just don’t know it yet.

Margo Price
She puts her own twist on country while keeping it classic. When you listen to Margo, you can’t help but let yourself be transported to a front porch in the countryside surrounded by good friends and family with good food cooking in the kitchen. Her reputation precedes her in Nashville, and she’s got a strong stage presence that will captivate country lovers and general music fans alike.

The Suffers
This band has been moving up through the musical ranks since the release of their self-titled debut album. They’ve been on Jimmy Kimmel Live, had their song featured in a TV show, and more. They’re a powerful band fronted by a powerful female with a powerful voice. How could you go wrong?

Langhorne Slim & The Law
An energy packed live set that’s also packed with soul? Sign me up. The first time I heard these guys was from a YouTube video of them performing with Conan O’Brien at a small club in L.A. I’ve been hooked ever since. Langhorne Slim doesn’t disappoint when it comes to bringing the energy and fun to his set.

Wild Belle
This is another female fronted band that slays. I discovered this band when I stumbled into a stripped down show they were doing at Cactus Records in Houston, TX. Instead of the quick record shopping I had planned on doing, I was captivated by this band for the rest of their set. They’ve got songs that are easily recognizable as well as some great tunes that aren’t so well known. They also put on a super fun show that should not be missed.
