How did you get your start in music?

“I had an interest in music since early childhood, but got the inklings to start doing something when I obtained an opportunity to do some studio singing for CBS tv show “The Guardian” and the CBS song library with virtually no experience at all and I loved it. Then through the dance world being a dance captain in various musical theater productions and always singing in the ensemble I found the courage to aspire to more song-filled parts and a solo career songwriting and singing my creations.”

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

“I think every show is a highlight and a super high at that, but one tremendous effort and achievement on my part was writing, producing and releasing my first album “A Louder Side of Me,” that recently came out.  It was a crazy amount of work “blood, sweat and tears” and it was by no means easy and it just gave me so much respect for anyone that undergoes this process and really has to count on themselves to see it through even when the going gets tough. I also had one of my earlier singles in a scene of one of my favorite tv shows NBC’s “Parenthood” and that was a pretty big deal for me as well.”

Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?

“People should listen to me because I am a voice that people can relate to, one with stories that are in everyone’s lives and I’m not afraid to present my own take on them.  I don’t need my songs to be popular or contrived or appeal to anyone specific I just create music that I like to listen to and that makes me feel good or makes me feel in general.  I want to make others feel with my melodies and lyrics alike and invite the thoughts that it brings in good or bad.  But at the same time keep it catchy because I am a huge fan of pop music so I think a disclaimer is that you should like pop or be open to it when embarking on any of my stuff.  I think the real difference when listening to me is that I experiment big time. The EP covers a lot of ground in the aspect of pop-rock and it’s just because I love so many different sounds.  So that’s what you get, a lot of different sounds sometimes only drawn together by my voice.”
