Five Songs You Need For Your Summer Playlist
Words and Picks by Jordyn Lockwood

It’s summertime, you will hanging by the pool, going to parties, and spending time with friends. There should be a playlist for all of these events. These five songs are ones that should make it on to all of your playlists.

Charli XCX – “Boom Clap”
Not only is Charli XCX already one of the queens of summer with Iggy Azalea and their song “Fancy”, but she released one of her own on The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack. “Boom Clap” is the song for any summer romance.

Bleachers – “Rollercoaster”
Jack Antoff’s band Bleachers is about to make it huge this year with their upcoming album Strange Desire. The song “Rollercoaster” has such a nostalgic, road trip feel to it that it is perfect for summer. Not to mention, it also has summer love content in the lyrics.

5 Seconds Of Summer – “Kiss Me Kiss Me”
Written by Alex Gaskarth, who knows a thing or two about writing a pop-rock summer anthem, this sounds like older All Time Low; and I love it.

Clean Bandit –  “Rather Be (Ft. Jess Glynne)
“Rather Be” is one of the best songs on the radio right now. The beat is great and Jess’ voice is really unique.

Beyonce – “Partition”
Not only is this Beyonce, but this is the ultimate song to just turn up and sing. Who doesn’t want to sing about being Beyonce?
