Some bands have that wow factor. Not the 2013 top 40 pop tracks that blow your mind for the three months they hold the number one spot on the iTunes charts, but instead that take your mind back to the days music was made to enrich the soul, and not the wallets of investors. Toy Soldiers definitely took us back to that time, and we are so glad they were brought to our attention. Their rock n roll and blues roots would have you believe they were raised their whole life down in Nashville, TN, when in fact they call Philadelphia, PA their home. They recently released their new album, The Maybe Boysback in September. You can buy the album here and get to know more about them below.

How did your band form?
We all met at space camp during “Karaoke Night”.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Releasing The Maybe Boys, our new record, and what feels like our first real record.  We’re really happy with it and are excited to be touring the country through the fall to get it into people’s hands.

Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel, or be weird intentionally, or trying to be anything, or even trying.  It’s about good songs, honesty, feeling and making people let loose a bit. We’re just ourselves and we’re interpreting the music we love entirely in our own way and creating with respect for the roots.  We also like to have a good time and make people dance and give it 110% every show.
