Five Albums To Listen To On The 4th of July
Words and Picks by Morgan Waldorf

Whether you’re at the beach or a barbecue the 4th of July is all about having a good time with friends and family and that kind of occasion calls for some good tunes. These are five albums that I think are perfect soundtracks for a great time and are all by American artists. America!

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – The Heist
This album came out last year and it’s still one of those albums everyone’s talking about. It has huge singles on it that are perfect for getting pumped up and singing along.

Ke$ha – Warrior
Ke$ha is the Queen of party music so no party is complete without her. What better way to celebrate America’s independence then with glitter and auto-tune.

Bruce Springsteen – Born In The USA
I couldn’t resist putting this classic on the list. When I listen to the title track images of flags and 4th of July parades come to mind. Maybe this is a good choice for family parties if your dad isn’t a big fan of the crazy music the kids are listening to these days.

Jack’s Mannequin – Everything In Transit
This is an album that always reminds me of the beach and summer days. Turn up “Holiday From Real” with your friends and sing it loud while celebrating the day off of work.

Kanye West and Jay-Z – Watch The Throne
I hardly need an excuse to listen to this album. It’s one of those albums that gets me amped and feeling good every time I listen to it.
