Downtown Fort Lauderdale was packed on a Friday night when The Love Collection Tour made an appearance. The 1975 warmed up the sold out show by opening up with a song, “Head.Cars.Bending,” from one of their earlier EPs. Shortly after, the crowd broke out into applause when the band followed up with one of their bigger hits, “The City,” and continued to finish out their nine-song setlist.

Nearly an hour later, the lights began to dim, and fans raised any merch they bought earlier that evening into the air. Staying true to themselves, The Neighbourhood gathered together on stage, dressed in only black and white, and began to perform one of their slower songs, “How.” The crowd roared when the lights brightened on the singer, Jesse Rutherford, as he transitioned his voice into one of the band’s earlier songs, “Female Robbery.” The rest of the setlist consisted of songs from their EP I’m Sorry along with their newly released album, I Love You. By the end of the night, the fans sang in sync to The Neighbourhood’s most well known hit, “Sweater Weather.”

Don’t think twice whether or not to attend this tour if it hits your city. After witnessing the musical talent between both of these bands, I guarantee they won’t be playing smaller venues much longer.
