I know I’m stating the obvious when I say here at Highlight Magazine we love music. But we also love to hear music from different countries break into the US scene, especially when that band or artist is female fronted. Once again I might be stating the obvious when I say female fronted bands are few and far between, however, Trash Candy from Slovenia have grabbed our attention and we hope they never let go. This female fronted rock pop punk/pop rock band has established a sound that will undoubtedly grant them success. They just released their new full length album Running From Something, Searching For Anything on May 6th and we are giving away one physical copy! How did you form?
We started back in 2009. After playing in different bands before, ranging from metalcore to ska, we decided to do something easier, catchier…and so Trash Candy came to life!
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
We were nominated as the best Adria Act on 2012 MTV EMA awards.
Why should people listen to you? What makes Trash Candy different?
We don’t think people should listen to us just because we want them to. We want our fans to enjoy our music, all of it, and draw parallels with their lives, their feelings…
