Winter is closing in, but don’t stay in because of the cold! This is the time of the year when one should embrace the chill and become inspired with layers, dark colors, and cute boots. Don’t hide behind sweats and the oversized sweatshirt your brother left behind when he moved for college. Let the bare trees and hot cocoa during winter inspire your wardrobe and get creative! Below we have put together a few looks to help you get into the winter spirit and possibly evoke a shopping spree for more layers and maybe even a knit hat! Yes, even for the guys too. Check it out below.

This outfit is the perfect winter collection to wear to the office, or as a casual day at school while still looking put together. The dark color of the pants is the perfect color for winter and can be paired with many combinations of color, for this look we chose brown and light pink, the secondary colors to a deep burgundy. The high boot is perfectly acceptable for winter. Incase of snow or rain it will keep your socks and pants from getting wet, so feel free to run around and be wild with having no worries! To top off the outfit (literally) we added a fashionable beanie to serve as two purposes; keep your head warm, and add a touch of color and pattern to an otherwise plain outfit. Don’t forget to accessorize either! Any simple long gold necklace, in this case one with a stone pendant, will be the marshmallows on top of the cocoa.

If you want to impress your relatives when you come home for holiday break then this is an outfit that can make that happen. If you’re not big into cardigans, a simple sweater like this one is a good substitute. Winter is the season where dark colors come out to play. Pair this navy sweater with a chocolate brown straight-leg pant and there’s no doubt you will be receiving complements all night. To round out this outfit, stick with the classy look by introducing a pair of dressy vans. The grey will keep this outfit from being too dark while the brown ties in the shoes by matching the color of the pants.
