If you were awake last night spending your time on twitter out of pure bordem, or for whatever other reason there might be, you might have seen tweets about Alex Roy, frontman of Sparks The Rescue, crashing down on stage last night in NYC. The singer was hit in the head by the bass guitar and was escorted off stage after falling to the ground a few minutes later. Here is the statement from Roy about what actually went down.

Getting a lot of questions as to what happened last night when I passed out on stage after the bass guitar hit my head. Well, when I first got hit in the third song I realized it hurt like hell but I just thought at the time It was just a bumped to the head. 45 seconds later I grabbed the back of my hair/head and my hand was covered in blood, I guess I freaked a bit and fainted at the site of how much I was bleeding. I was escorted of stage where I went through 4 towels covered in blood, and had paramedics come because the venue was concerned. I wanted to finish the show but was advised if I didn’t keep my heart beat down I could bleed out bad. Still hurts a bit but it stopped bleeding around 2am! Playing Maryland tonight, going to keep it pretty chill on stage till it heals. And I our new EP came out today, Pick on up if you have $5 laying around.
