Dance For The Dying – Best Halloween Memory

0

Halloween is creeping up on us, and we have spoken to another band about the best memory they have experienced on the spooky holiday. Josh Hunter, who plays the guitar and synth for the band Dance for the Dying, has let us in on his memorable night that is sure to get the memory of your teenage years riled up again. This memory should give everyone a slice of hope for Halloween, that even if it might get a little upsetting, the night can turn around in your favor. Check out what he had to tell us!

I’m pretty sure this all went down around 9th grade.  I was meeting some friends in a park to hang out and do teenager type things – like drink red wine out of a box, pretend to trick or treat, and maybe scare some 6th graders. I was going out dressed as Brandon Lee’s character from The Crow, but this year I was going to knock it out of the park on the resemblance!  I spent weeks getting my long hair dyed and planning my outfit; even doing a couple dry runs to make sure it was perfect.  I had a super huge crush on a girl who was going to be on this little outing and who I know also liked the movie.  We had been spending a little bit of time together prior to this night, but nothing worth mentioning had ever happened.  So I NAILED my costume – it was awesome how goth and badass I looked!  After some high-jinks in the park, and trying (and failing) to go to various parties we thought we had  heard about, we called it a night. Around 1am, the future singer of my first band drove a small number of us home and I got to have a teenage make-out session in the backseat of his blue Toyota hatchback with the high school girl of my dreams.  I went home with a huge smile on my face and listened to Depeche Mode as I drifted off to sleep, still in a full face of make-up.
