When Twenty One Pilots announced their worldwide ‘The Bandito Tour’ following the announcement of their third studio album, Trench, fans were quick to sign up for the Verified Fan pre-sale. The alternative duo that consists of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun aren’t strangers to arenas and their previous arena tour that ran from 2016 to 2017 did not prepare fans for what ‘The Bandito Tour’ would have in store for them.
Nashville, Tennessee was the state and city that was blessed to be the first stop of the tour. The show was on October 16th and was on a Tuesday night. Fans from all points of the globe gathered together to experience the first night of the duos’ return. I talked to fans that went the extra mile to attend the show, “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.” said Cora, a fan that flew all the way from the United Kingdom. Including myself, a native of North Carolina who drove all the way from Greensboro, North Carolina to attend the event.
Twenty One Pilots never fail to put on a live show and most, if not all, fans know that already. However, the duo outdid themselves this time around. Extra production was added and completely blew the ‘Emotional Roadshow Tour’ away. With a bridge that allowed Tyler and Josh to walk across the pit to b-stage to a platform that rose Josh Dun in the air whenever a drum solo would come about, everything down to their setlist left fans emotional and energetic.
With songs from not only the self-titled album, but also Vessel, Blurryface, and of course their newest addition, Trench, there was a song for every kind of fan. Not only was the main act of the show amazing, but the performances that Max Frost and AWOLNATION brought as opening acts sent amazing energy throughout the beginning of the night. It was truly a blissful night of great music, good people and incredible stage productions.
It’s crazy to think that I saw this band when they barely sold out a theater show. Now, it’s nearly impossible to get any kind of tickets to their show. However, ‘The Bandito Tour’ still has tickets available and the duo did just announce a second leg of the tour so grab your tickets while you still can!
