Moons of Marsis an indie pop duo from Los Angeles, California. Chillwave and indie pop adjacent, this radio friendly track holds all the right grooves to be an anthemic summer banger. With variation in guitar tones and beachy breaks, the instrumentation is reminiscent of island life.
Electric Pyramid Ft. Sakura Ishadoh – “New York City”
An overlooked Japanese pop song about the greatness of New York City, this track is an editor’s pick for best of the week because of the rock melodies. Coupled with indie instrumentation and a catchy hook about how New York City is a freeing place unlike any other, this track dusts off the word “unique” and brings it back to life.
Kirk Ross – “The Everything”
Written from a dream, this track holds twinkly notes with electro-indie prowess.
No Coast – “Mars”
Quintessential teen pop in the same vein as The 1975, COIN and Cut Copy, this track is a certified bop ready for summer playlists. A catchy tune with piano and guitar vibes reminiscent of the jazz era, this track holds both old and new light.
