In case you haven’t heard, Teenage Bottlerocket drummer Brandon Carlisle passed away late last week after falling into a coma and becoming unresponsive. For the funeral, the band is inviting all friends and fans of Brandon Carlisle and Teenage Bottlerocket to join them this Saturday, November 14 for Carlisle’s funeral, as well as a party to commemorate his life. The funeral will take place at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado at 10:30am. After the funeral, Carlisle’s body will be transported an hour North to Green Hill Cemetary in Laramie, Wyoming where he will be buried at 2pm. The band stresses that the funeral and burial will be open to the public and “you don’t have to dress up… Brandon would want it that way.”
For those who wish to gather with like-minded friends and share memories of Brandon Carlisle’s life, there will be an all-ages party at the Hilton Garden Inn Ballroom in Laramie from 4-10pm with complimentary food and drinks (“including five kegs,” the band says). Once again, this event is open to all and no formal attire is required.
As we mentioned before, Highlight sends out its deepest condolences to Brandon Carlisle, Teenage Bottlerocket, and anyone that Brandon had an impact on. Please consider donating to a GoFundMe in Brandon’s name that will help with the cost of medical and funeral bills.
