The energy inside the Utilita Arena Birmingham was electric on Tuesday night as Machine Gun Kelly brought his Lost Americana Tour to Birmingham. Thousands of fans packed the arena, many dressed in punk-inspired outfits and pink merchandise, ready for a night of high-energy rock, rap, and emotional sing-along moments. The Birmingham stop was his last UK date before heading over to Ireland as part of his massive 2025–2026 global tour supporting his most recent album, Lost Americana.
The last time I saw MGK live was back in 2019 on the Hotel Diablo tour, so the anticipation was running high to see him perform again. From the moment the lights dimmed, the atmosphere shifted from anticipation to chaos. The show opened with MGK rising to the stage through the statue of liberty’s mouth as it bellowed out CO2. He kicked his set off with hits like “Starman”, “Maybe,” and “Wild Boy.”

Throughout the set, MGK showcased his strengths as a live performer with his ability to blend genres seamlessly as he moved between his rap hits and pop-punk anthems, proving why his music appeals to such a broad audience. Tracks like “Bloody Valentine,” “Kiss Kiss,” and “Drunk Face” turned the arena into a huge pop-punk party, while heavier rap cuts like “El Diablo” brought a darker edge to the show, which personally, is one of my favourite tracks.
Now, visually the production was something else and personally I was very excited to witness it on such a grand scale. Giant LED screens accompanied by dramatic lighting and bursts of pyrotechnics created a festival-like atmosphere inside the arena. MGK constantly interacted with the audience throughout and at one point interacted with a fan’s “Shadow” plush toy from Sonic the Hedgehog, all whilst running across the stage, climbing up to his platform, which was situated where the Statue of Liberty’s torch would be, but in true MGK fashion, it was a cigarette and a Zippo lighter.

The set closed with “Vampire Diaries,” ending the night on a dramatic high. Confetti filled the arena while the crowd continued singing long after the final note faded and could still be heard wanting more. Overall, MGK’s Birmingham show proved why he has become one of the most compelling live performers of his generation. Blending rock, hip-hop, and raw emotion together to create what is the Lost Americana Tour.
