Meet Me @ The Altar have released a brand new single called “Karma,” which can be streamed below. The track is taken from the forthcoming EP, Worried Sick, out December 4.
On the band’s new music, vocalist Edith Victoria shared:
“The past year and a half has held some of the hardest times of my whole life. I was left a shell of a person after I lost many of my closest relationships, people who I trusted and adored. I was hurt more than words can describe and was more depressed than I’ve ever been. learned many hard lessons, like how some people in the industry don’t necessarily care about you, but only about what they can get from you. Once they believe you no longer serve them, they won’t think twice to drop you in your most vulnerable state. I cried more than ever, and worked tirelessly and endlessly to become the better version of what I once was.
“Although I still have lots of healing to do, writing this EP was a huge part of that journey and helped me slowly glue the pieces of my heart back together. I didn’t hold anything back while writing this project, and let every emotion I had been feeling the past year and a half out on the pages. Anger, hatred, regret, sadness, jealousy, spite, heartbreak, pain.
“Even though lots of my worst fears came true, I wouldn’t change a thing because the lessons I learned are worth millions. We now have people around us who want us to make the music we want to make. People who don’t care about the number of streams they think the chosen sound will bring. That’s all that matters, right? Creating what you love NO MATTER WHAT. I sincerely hope you enjoy all the heavy, punky, in your face sounds and feelings of this EP.”
