LIGHTS will release her new album, A6, on May 2. In celebration of the news, she has shared the powerful new single “Alive Again,” which can be streamed below. On the new track, Lights says:
“‘Alive Again’ is kind of a “last hope” anthem. It’s about the lows we hit and the demons we carry, and how, from that vantage point, we can sometimes gain clarity about what we want from our lives and the people around us.”
On the video for “Alive Again,” she elaborates:
“We all have demons, so we might as well learn to live with them. Or — as the music video depicts — even learn to hang with them (along with a plethora of horror movie references). Much like a lot of my new music, I was able to capture a hyper-melodic, fast-paced new wave feel in the music that provides a nostalgic twist to the whole experience.”
