The High Dive in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood was the place to be on May 24 as Lovely Colours took the stage for their much-anticipated sold out album release show. The venue, known for its intimate yet energetic atmosphere, provided the perfect setting for the band’s dynamic performance.

Opening acts Swavy and Waltzerr set the tone for the night with compelling performances that warmed up the crowd. Swavy’s soulful melodies and Waltzerr’s indie rock vibes were well-received, creating a buzz of excitement for the main act.

When Lovely Colours hit the stage, they did not disappoint. The band’s set was a high-energy journey through their latest album, Dancing With A Ghost, showcasing their unique blend of pop-rock with heartfelt lyrics and infectious hooks.

Highlights of the night included performances of “Ghost” and “Heartbeat,” which had the audience singing along and dancing throughout the set. The live performance brought a raw edge to these tracks, highlighting the band’s tight musicianship and charismatic stage presence.

Frontman Devin Damitio engaged the crowd with anecdotes about the songs’ origins, adding a personal touch that resonated with fans. The chemistry among band members was evident, particularly during extended jams and instrumental breaks that allowed each musician to shine.

The High Dive, with its cozy capacity, ensured an intimate concert experience where the audience felt a close connection to the band. The sound quality was excellent, and the lighting added to the overall atmosphere, making for a visually and sonically memorable night.

Overall, Lovely Colours’ album release show at the High Dive was a testament to their growing prowess as live performers and their ability to captivate an audience. For fans of energetic and emotionally charged pop-rock, this concert was a highlight of Seattle’s music scene in 2024.
