Set against the historic backdrop of London’s Alexandra Palace, Pierce The Veil electrified the sold-out crowd with their energetic performance on the 13th of April.
From the moment Pierce The Veil stepped onto the stage, they commanded the audience’s attention with their high-octane energy and raw passion. Lead vocalist Vic Fuentes’s powerful vocals soared through the venue, captivating fans with each note. Guitarist Tony Perry, bassist Jaime Preciado, and drummer Lionel Robinson delivered a tight and dynamic performance, showcasing their musical prowess.
The setlist was a perfect blend of fan favorites and tracks from their latest album, The Jaws of Life, keeping the energy levels high throughout the night. Songs like “Circles” and “A Match Into Water” had the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs, while slower tracks like the acoustic performance of “Bulletproof Love” provided moments of introspection amidst the chaos.
Pierce The Veil’s stage presence was undeniable as they moved seamlessly between head-banging riffs and slower tunes. The band members’ genuine enthusiasm and connection with the audience created an electric atmosphere, making every fan feel part of something special.
One stand-out moment of the night happened during “Hold On Till May,” where Fuentes introduced the song by saying it no longer belonged to Pierce The Veil, but now belongs to the fans who have made it so incredibly special over the years.
Before kicking into the bridge and final chorus, Fuentes brought up a lucky fan called Izzy to the stage. Wearing a white wedding dress, Izzy had been singing passionately along to all of the songs, a gesture Fuentes noticed throughout the night. Moments before serenading her with the remainder of the song, Fuentes gifted her a red guitar to help her remember the special night.
Closing out the set with the ever-popular “King For A Day,” Pierce The Veil truly showcased why they are deserving of a 10,000-person sold-out crowd so far away from their hometown. With their infectious energy, captivating stage presence, and powerful performance, they proved once again why they are one of the most beloved acts in the scene.
