After nearly four years since their last full-length album, All Distortions Are Intentional, the U.K. pop punk band Neck Deep is back with a new album for fans to rock out to.
As the band returns to their roots for this record, already established and new fans will absolutely fall in love with this gem. Lyrically and even instrumentally, in some ways, these ten songs are powerful, raw and authentic to real life.
Ahead of the release, the band put out four singles: “We Need More Bricks,” “Heartbreak Of The Century,” “Take Me With You” and “It Won’t Be Like This Forever.” These tunes gave listeners a taste of what the five-piece group had in store for them. If you’ve listened to these before hearing the full album, you’ll know what to expect. But if you skip the singles and dive straight into Neck Deep, then you’re in for an even more wonderful surprise.
The album starts off loud right away with “Dumbstruck Dumbf**k.” The guitar and drums that the song takes off with get the listener pumped and motivated to listen along through the rest of the tracks. Straight away from the beginning, fans following the band for a while will hear a familiarity in the music. The mentioned song in particular, along with “We Need More Bricks,” feel a lot like their previous album All Distortions Are Intentional.
