Hands Like Houses have released their new single “The Water.” The track is off of the band’s forthcoming self-titled EP which arrives Oct. 23 via UNFD. On “The Water,” vocalist Trenton Woodley shares:
“I picture the protagonist as some beautiful, fantastical, strange and surreal sea creature that has come to live among us, but wants to go home. I feel like the voice of this song is one that has done its best to make a place to belong, but knows it doesn’t, can’t or won’t, and is trying to say a heartfelt, honest goodbye.”
The forthcoming EP follows up Hands Like Houses’ 2018 album Anon. and was created over the course of 10 days. The EP also features the previously released “Space” which debuted back in June.
