Dusk Music Festival, Tucson’s major music event, has people coming in for the long Veteran’s Day Weekend to enjoy all of what the desert has to offer. This year’s lineup included acts such as Rezz, Kaskade, Two Door Cinema Club, Tokimonsta, and Whethan. The festival grounds were decorated with art installations, an art wall featuring past and present artists who have played and a custom light up Rezz face with her iconic goggles. There was a full weed experience at the Greenroom activation and Culinary Dropout delivered the best food experience. Here are a few of the most memorable moments from the weekend.
Two Door Cinema Club
Whethan
ARIZONA, the perfect band to play in the Arizona desert, easily got the crowd to sing along with their tunes and get involved in their set from start to finish! Shallou’s set was something special. His cinematic music gave a dreamy feeling of hopefulness and happiness, it was the perfect way to ease into the festival. Whethan is somebody that I’ve been hearing lots of talk about so I was excited to see his set and yes, everyone is right, his music is so good! Kaskade closed out the first day with his deep house beats and captivating performance that left the whole festival buzzing.

Kaskade
Tokimonsta was the hidden gem of this year’s lineup! Her music made the crowd dance and scream. Her visuals and the insane amount of fog added to the dreamy, dance vibe. Rezz closed off the festival with her hypnotic, unique sounds. There were fans who got to the barricade at doors and waited for her set and they were not disappointed! She engaged with the crowd a lot, complementing the number of people in her iconic goggles. Everyone in the crowd was having fun, holding on to the last hour of what Dusk had to offer.

This was my third year of attending Dusk Music Festival and it has been so great to see how the festival grows each year and I can’t wait to be back in 2020!
