In support of their brand new album, How It Feels To Be Lost, Sleeping With Sirens returned to London last week for an unforgettable performance. Full of brand new songs from their latest release as well as old favorites fans had been waiting in anticipation to witness live, Sleeping With Sirens proved during their London performance just why they are still one of the biggest bands in the scene today.
Opening up the night with How It Feels To Be Lost’s first track “Leave It All Behind,” there was an immediate explosion of energy and the audience broke out into screams as soon as Kellin Quinn’s vocals began to ring through the speakers. Much like their reaction to “Leave It All Behind,” the crowd’s intensity towards the band’s new material – the album’s title track and “Blood Lines” being two other new songs included in the set – stood as a testament of how much they love and cherish this new album, despite it having only been out for three months.
Tracks that fundamentally helped catapult Sleeping With Sirens into success over the past decade including “Tally It Up: Settle The Score,” “Do It Now Remember It Later” and “A Trophy Father’s Trophy Son” received the most passionate responses. From the crowd surfers soaring over the barricade to the circle pits opening up throughout the venue, fans both old and young showed their support for the band by singing as loudly as possible. The sheer excitement and energy being exerted throughout the set didn’t go unnoticed, Kellin Quinn saying multiple times that this particular set was one of the best shows in the UK the band has ever played.
Sleeping With Sirens incorporated an acoustic portion into their set with the performances of “Scene Five: With Ears To See, and Eyes To Hear” and “Scene Two: Roger Rabbit,” off of 2012’s If You Were A Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack. These two performances greatly showcased the band’s versatility and their ability to transform heavy-hitting hardcore songs into beautifully composed acoustic ballads.
Closing out the night with “If You Can’t Hang,” undoubtedly their most popular song to date, the sold-out venue exerted every last bit of energy they had left on this last song they had been so anxiously waiting to hear. Transforming the room into complete chaos, crowd surfers took their last trips over the barricade and moshers did one last loop around the circle pit, ending the entire night on a high and solidifying its spot in Sleeping With Sirens’s history as one of their best shows to date.
