In a venue normally home to touring Broadway productions, Tori Kelly brought her Acoustic Sessions tour to packed crowd at Salt Lake City’s Eccles Theater. She treated fans first thing with her brand new song “Language” followed by fan-favorite “Nobody Love”. It was easy to see fans’ excitement as she seamlessly weaved old favorites and covers in with unreleased surprises. Her powerful vocals seemed so effortless and fans were clearly impressed. The stage was set like a living room and created a very intimate feel for such a large theater.
Guitarist Mateus Asato had several moments to shine and delivered some impeccable guitar riffs throughout the show. The musical chemistry between him and Kelly was one of the highlights of the night. They’ve hit their stride quickly this tour and you’ll definitely not want to miss their incredible performance.
Kelly’s setlist included top songs like “I Was Made For Loving You” and “Should’ve Been Us” alongside old favorites like “Rocket” and “Dear No One”. Her performance of “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing” from the movie Sing even had the audience out of their seats and dancing in the aisles. By the end of the evening, every audience member was beaming and left waiting in anticipation for her next release.
