As It Is

Local 506 // Chapel Hill, NC // February 5th, 2019

Photos and review by Saber Chadili

AS IT IS graced the stage of Local 506 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina earlier last week. Supporting their recent release, The Great Depression, As It Is woke the city of Chapel Hill up that night with their biggest hits such as “Hey Rachel,” “Dial Tones,” “The Stigma (Boys Don’t Cry)” and much more.

North Carolina’s local pop-punk band The Second After opened for the band alongside Point North, Hold Close, and Sharptooth, the other supporting acts on the tour. It made for a night to remember for all of the pop-punk fans in North Carolina.

As It Is creates more than just a show, but manages to put on an outstanding and memorable performance whenever they hit the stage. Lead singer Patty Walters knows how to convey such strong emotions while performing onstage and everyone in Local 506 felt every word he was singing. As It Is are surely not a band to miss out on seeing live, forming a reputation for being a band that is both passionate and captivating in every city they tour through.
