K.Flay dropped her sophomore full-length, Every Where Is Somewhere, Friday and today, unveiled its first music video for “Black Wave” via Paper Magazine. The clip, which opens with the question “If the future is so bright why does it blind me” [sic], is episodic in its format–amidst flashes of bold visuals and camouflaged text like “It’s just in your head” and “Don’t waste your youth growing up,” K.Flay’s viewer is tossed and turned within her protagonist’s storms. The artist known for her edgy material said on social media: “We wanted to make something raw & original & tense” [sic].
