Following the autumn release of From Indian Lakes’ fourth full-length album Everything Feels Better Now, the project fronted by Joey Vannucchi has shared a new video for its latest single, the shimmering “Blank Tapes.” Directed by Joshua Halling, the music video surpasses capturing the highs and lows of love and aims to reflect the pitfall of romanticism as escapism back to the viewer:
I wanted to create an isolated world. Everyone has their own ‘Sarah.’ They find themselves in this euphoric state with the idea of either someone, something, or themselves. We become intoxicated with this image of how we wish things could be, and use it as a scapegoat to hide away from our own confusion, frustrations and denial. – “Blank Tapes” director Joshua Halling
