PUP released their music video today for “Sleep in the Heat,” a track off their latest album, “The Dream Is Over.” Picking up where the punk rock band’s 2014 Juno Award-nominated video for “Guilt Trip” left off, “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard reprises his role as frontman Stefan Babcock’s younger self as the band heads out on tour and encounters an unlikely animal companion. Director Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux was inspired to make a video for the song, penned for Babcock’s chameleon that died during the recording process of “The Dream Is Over,” due to anticipating an inevitably similar experience with his own pet cat. “Losing a friend is something so many of us have had to deal with,” Babcock said, according to a press release, “which is why I think this video is so powerful.”
PUP are currently on the North American leg of their Sorta Kinda World Tour, set to conclude Dec. 16 in Toronto.
