Architects’ Tom Searle Honored by Fans and Fellow Musicians

In the wake of his passing Sunday after a three-year battle with melanoma, Architects’ guitarist Tom Searle has been remembered by fans and artists alike. In addition to tweets from fellow musicians including Matt Healy of The 1975, Brian MacDonald of PVRIS, and Beau Bokan of Blessthefall, Australian metalcore group Parkway Drive paid tribute to Searle by dedicating their song “Home Is for the Heartless” to him at the Netherlands’ Lowlands festival:

Fans of Architects have not only shown their devotion to Searle and the UK metal band with tattoos, such as the one pictured below, but provided Martlets Hospice in Hove, England, at which Searle spent his final days, with an unprecedented amount of donations. At press time, donations surpassed £20,000.

According to Architects’ official statement on their Facebook page, the band is proceeding with the All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us Tour but, because Tom was “at the heart of everything that the band created,” the future of Architects is, for now, uncertain.
