Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Peppina is an artist you need to have on your radar. After performing at Sundance Film Festival and SXSW, this singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has had a very busy, exciting and productive year. With her debut self-titled record due out this summer, she shows no signs of stopping.

“Being young is crazy, fun, tough and confusing for everyone, and being a young artist in the music field, well, it often seems like I’m getting twice as much of all that, and it’s not always easy to feel confident about your opinions or ideas. Me and Kris Gruen met at Sundance Film Festival one year ago and wrote this song, “Young Hearts” during the festival. At the time, I was still pretty fresh into performing and unsure about my capabilities, so I would’ve never guessed that one year later we ended up performing that same song at the same festival, in multiple prestigious venues in front of hundreds of people! It’s a great story and really goes hand-in-hand with the message of the song. For me, “Young Hearts” is about not letting anyone, including yourself, talk you down or tell you your voice doesn’t matter just because you lack experience.”
