How did you get your start in music?
I started singing in church for plays/kids worship service (that was a real thing that happened at my church). I started writing music and taking this whole thing seriously when I was about 14. It mostly began because I started exploring other music genres and came to the realization that I had a decent tone and wanted to explore it.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
I would say the highlight of my career would be when I got signed to a major label (Verve Records/Universal). And also going to London to perform for Erderm and Anna Wintour.
Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
I think what sets me apart from a lot of people is that I have noticed people have difficulty categorizing my music, which I actually take as a huge compliment. And if people enjoy listening to an artist who experiments with new things on each song/album…then they would probably enjoy listening to me J. I tend to get bored and like to change it up.
