Meet FRANKIE, the Oakland Singer/Songwriter who’s just as strong as she is sweet. Bellowing soulful melodies and catchy choruses, it’s hard to ignore this writing star. FRANKIE sat down with us to chat about music, life and how she got to where she is today.

How did you get your start in music?
I have been singing and writing music since I was 10. I would look up to female singer songwriters and thought to myself that I could maybe do that as well. So I picked up piano and taught myself guitar and started expressing myself through songwriting, and took it seriously in high school. I would play around the Bay Area in a band that I was in with my cousin and then also went to college for music so to say it’s been in my blood all my life would be an understatement.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Hmm good question. The highlight of my career so far would be reaching over 1,000,000 plays for my song Problems Problems which was such a nice surprise and hearing all the fans wonderful responses has been overwhelming and warms me all up inside.
Why should people listen to you? What makes you different?
I hope people will listen to me and hear an artist who isn’t trying to be anything else but herself. I write everything with my heart and soul and pour out everything into my music. I want to create a real relationship with my fans and be the person they want to cry to or dance to and help heal in any way I can. My best friends/band mates did everything with me for this EP and we had such a fun time experimenting and taking chances with pop music that I feel like we created a unique sound and our fun vibes bounce off to the audience. We’re all best friends goofing around and I feel like people can hear that through the music and see that when we play live.
